Unlocked: New Ways of Storytelling and Experiences for Audiences

New formats are emerging as technology allows producers to go beyond the traditional ways we are accustomed to experiencing stories. With storytelling still at the heart of all things audio-visual, the industry is experimenting with new tech to bring greater depth to their narratives. 

Joining us is Christina Lee Storm, a producer and an expert in Emerging Tech, VP, AI, AR & VR. She will guide us through the technology behind new viewing experiences. Following this, ARTE CEO Kemal Görgülü will showcase two new experiences adapted to apps for Apple Vision Pro: “Gloomy Eyes” and “Battlescar”. 

“Gloomy Eyes” tells the story of the sun who got tired of humans and decided to hide, never to rise again. This animated interactive storytelling experience is co-produced by ARTE France, Atlas V, 3DAR, and RYOT. “Battlescar” follows Lupe, a 16-year-old runaway, through the memories she records in her diary. Using real-time 3D animation and „6dof“ technology, Battlescar brings a 30-minute coming-of-age story to life. It is co-produced by ARTE France, Atlas V, and RYOT.
