The Global Workflow Update | September 25 | 12:00 – 12:45 PM

As budgets decline, cost pressures increase, and the demand for faster content production grows, it’s crucial to reevaluate our workflows. Have we truly broken down workflow silos? What progress have we made with cloud workflows, and are we seeing advancements in standardisation and efficiency?

In this session, we will revisit the „Workflow Vision 2030,“ an initiative set by five major Hollywood studios—Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures, Twentieth Century Fox, Universal, and Walt Disney Pictures—through the “MovieLabs” initiative in 2019. With half of the roadmap completed, Raymond Drewry, Principal Scientist at MovieLabs, will offer detailed insights into our progress. He will be joined by Katrina King, a motion picture technologist and production technology executive with over 20 years of experience, and the current Global Strategy Leader for Content Production at Amazon Web Services (AWS), the leading global cloud provider. Together, they will examine advancements in hybrid cloud workflows and assess whether we’ve achieved the vision of overcoming silos.
