Ole Reissmann is a journalist and media innovator who currently serves as the first Director of AI at SPIEGEL Group, where he focuses on strategy, transformation, upskilling, and product development. He writes THEFUTURE, a newsletter on AI and journalism. Throughout his career at SPIEGEL, he has launched podcasts, apps, and newsletters, built and managed a newsroom, led teams, and developed platform strategies.

A member of the inaugural cohort of CUNY's AI Journalism Lab and a former Burns Fellow, Reissmann is also an educator who teaches product thinking for journalists and executives at Hamburg Media School and the Institute for Arts and Media Management at Hamburg's HfMT. As a tech reporter, he covered the Snowden leaks and co-authored a book on the hacker collective Anonymous.
